Short biography

Aleksandar Karadimche, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Information Science and Technology (UIST) "St. Paul the Apostle" in Ohrid, North Macedonia. With over 15 years of professional experience, his career is defined by bridging the gap between technical research and practical societal applications. He earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering in 2018 from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, specializing in cloud computing services and quality perception.

Dr. Karadimche’s research centers on information processing, specifically utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and data analytics to uncover patterns within complex datasets. He has published over 60 scientific papers through prestigious platforms like IEEE and ACM. His international profile is underscored by leadership roles in several COST Actions, including MAIA (AI in Archaeology), RAiSE (Robotics and AI), and ENIS (International Student Mobility).

As an academic leader, he pioneers innovative curricula in Digital Business Analytics. He is a dedicated educator of adults, serving as a certified British Council trainer and a USAID expert in cybersecurity and IoT. Notably, he has contributed to UIST’s Prime Blue Business Accelerator and the EU for Economic Growth (EU4EG) initiative, aiming to translate advanced digital and AI research into real-world innovations and regional entrepreneurship. Currently, he co-leads the SINFT project, an Erasmus+ initiative empowering youth through blockchain and NFTs. Additionally, he serves as a scientific reviewer for the European Commission and editor for the Equilibrium Quarterly Journal of Economics and Economic Policy.

This intensive program was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and focused on developing advanced frameworks focused on capacity building to support academic staff in developing competencies necessary for modern higher education, with a strong emphasis on adaptive leadership, digital transformation and nurturing 21st century skills.
